Awareness-raising and public engagement for 12 “river-pearls” in the canton of Grisons, Switzerland

The project Awareness-raising and public engagement for 12 “river-pearls” in the canton of Grisons, Switzerland, undertaken by WWF-Grisons, recently published a brochure and series of wetland fact sheets to raise awareness of the natural and cultural values of 12 important rivers in the region, as well as threats to their wise use and conservation.

The brochure and fact sheets will serve as a basis for further communication activities, and also as a basis for further steps towards better protection of these rivers and wetlands.

These are available on the website of WWF Grisons and can be accessed here https://www.wwf-gr.ch/themen-projekte/lebensraeume/gewaesser-und-auen/gewaesserperlen/

This project was made possible thanks to the generous support and participation of the MAVA Foundation and WWF-Grisons in the context of the Ramsar Convention Secretariat project “Conservation of the natural and cultural heritage in wetlands: Global leadership for an integrated approach through the Ramsar Convention”(March 2015-March 2018), and in line with Decision SC53-15  of the Ramsar Standing Committee.
