Solongo holds master’s degrees in Environmental Management and Diplomatic Studies, both earned from the Australian National University in Canberra, Australia.
In 2014, she joined the Ramsar Secretariat as the Assistant to the Senior Regional Advisor for Asia/Oceania where she has contributed to ensuring the effective implementation of the Convention in the 41 Contracting Parties across Asia and Oceania regions with special focus on the Central Asian region.
Solongo has considerable experience in development sector which she gained through her work with the International Federation of Red Cross (IFRC). At IFRC office in Mongolia, she has extensively contributed to several major disaster response operations as well as taken the lead in designing, implementation and evlauation of several projects aimed at building community resilience and livelihood throughout Mongolia.
