Sandra is of German origin with a background in international business administration with Master’s degrees gained in Germany and in France. She started her career in auditing in Frankfurt/Main, Germany in 2002 and has then worked for the UN for 13 years. She started life in the UN as Junior Professional Officer and went on to work for various UN Secretariat entities, managing and leading small to medium-sized teams. Her most recent job has been with the Convention on Migratory Species of Wild Animals in Bonn, Germany. Being fluent in German, English, French and Spanish, she has lived and worked in Latin America, Asia, Africa and Europe.
Her duties in the UN have focused on administrative and finance management. As Administrative Officer she has coordinated the administrative and financial services comprising finance, budgeting, human resources, information technology, procurement and logistics in various UN offices. She has specializations in strategic planning, organizing work-flows, change management, analysing and projecting complex financial data, and project management.
Her interests include table tennis, hiking, cross-country skiing and nature conservation.
