Kati provides support for meetings and documentation of the Governing and Subsidiary Bodies of the Convention.
Before joining the Convention, Kati supported the UN Environment Basel Convention’s Plastic Waste Partnership. Previously, she worked at the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction and in the private sector. She brings to the organisation her experience in event and project management.
She holds a Master of Science in Global Environmental Politics and Policy from the University of London where her research focussed on marine conservation and creating marine protected areas on the High Seas. She also studied social science at Bard College, New York.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time in nature, learning languages, and she is enthusiastic about wildlife photography.
