Kasia graduated with a BSc First-class degree in Sustainable Development from Kingston University in London. After graduation she volunteered as a Team Leader of an Urban Agriculture project in La Paz, Bolivia working on livelihoods improvement, food security and gender issues. She went on to the European Commission where she was a Blue Book trainee in Life Unit in DG Environment. There she was the main contact person and had the responsibility of the Technical Desk Officer of all Polish LIFE+ Nature and Biodiversity projects and additionally provided assistance with Spanish projects. Kasia has extensive international experience and, having lived in 10 different countries, she speaks and writes in Polish, English and Spanish and has an intermediate knowledge of Italian. She joined the Ramsar Secretariat in October 2016 as the Assistant Advisor for Europe.
