Elena Makrigianni, Public Awareness Officer in the Evros Delta Visitor Center (www.evros-delta.gr) writes: "WWD was celebrated in the Evros Delta Visitor Centre on Wednesday 2nd February. The celebration was funded for the fourth year running by the LIFE project Restoration and Conservation Management of Drana Lagoon in Evros Delta. The activities of the day were: video projection; educational games; handicrafts; and guided trips and birdwatching in the Drana lagoon. At the same time, parallel activities were held in the centre including: exhibition of children's paintings; distribution of printed material relevant to WWD; and a competition with gifts. . . . Thank you for one more year, WWD is an important part of our public awareness programm and always a great pleasure to organise and implement!"
