Dear Valerie - A very Happy New Year to you

I wish to make an urgent request for two sets of the Ramsar Poster Exhibit to support our National CEPA Actvities and particularly our exciting National Ramsar announcements and activities on World Wetlands Day.

We would like to use the poster exhibit to support the National WWDay celebrations at the Wetlands Centre Newcastle and in Canberra where to celebrate 30 years of Ramsar we will be announcing New Ramsar Sites, A new Edition of the Directory of Nationally Important Wetlands, releasing the Wetland National CEPA Action (as required under the Ramsar Outreach Programme - Australia will be one of the first contracting parties to complete its CEPA Plan) and the Asia Pacific Migratory Waterbird Strategy 2001-2005 and Shorebird Action Plan - Australia has been actively cooperating and supporting regional migratory waterbird conservation.

We are also holding a Seminar Series "Australia's Wetlands - A World to Discover" during the week after World Wetlands Day and the poster exhibit will presented at the entry point to the seminar venue.

On an ongoing basis, consistent with the National Wetland CEPA Action Plan, the poster exhibits will form part of a body of material that will be used at Water and Natural Resource Conferences and gatherings where we need to raise awareness of the Ramsar Convention and engage a broader audience in its implementation.

We would appreciate your assistance to get the posters to Australia prior to World Wetlands Day by courier. The address is:

Wetlands Section, Environment Australia, GPO BOX 787, Canberra ACT 2601, AUSTRALIA

Thanking you in anticipation

Regards
