WWF,
the global conservation organization, is seeking to recruit a
LEADER,
CORAL TRIANGLE NETWORK INITIATIVE
who will provide
dynamic leadership to the WWF network in the development and implementation
of this ambitious and high profile conservation initiative.
The key requirements
are:
- An advanced degree
in conservation, natural sciences, management, international development
or a relevant field;
- Some technical
proficiency in the field of conservation and fisheries management or
natural-resource management;
- At least 10 years
professional experience in a leadership role, preferably in the CT region,
with demonstrated success in building and managing multi-disciplinary
teams and large, multiple donor budgets;
- Excellent knowledge
of the NI issues and context;
- Strong negotiating
and lobbying skills learned in either NGO, governmental, or business
environments;
- Experience in
raising and mobilising funding;
- Proven success
in leading large geographically wide-spread teams;
- Ability to work
effectively in a matrix organisation;
- Excellent command
of English; other languages relevant to places of Initiative implementation
an asset.
The post will be
based in the Coral Triangle region.

who will lead strategic
development and implementation of the international policy elements of
WWF's Coral Triangle Network Initiative.
The key requirements
are:
- A degree in conservation,
natural sciences, management, international development or a relevant
field;
- Relevant regional
and global network of relations to enable policy elements for the delivery
of NI goals;
- At least 10 years
professional experience in a policy advocacy leadership role, with demonstrated
success in engaging multi-lateral policy agencies around environmental
sustainability issues.
- Excellent advocacy
and communications skills;
- Excellent knowledge
of the NI political and policy context;
- Strong lobbying
skills learned in either NGO, governmental, or business environments;
- Experience in
policy development and reform;
- Proven success
in working with multi-lateral policy agencies;
- Proven experience
of working with different cultures;
- Ability to work
effectively in a matrix organisation;
- Excellent command
of English; other languages relevant to places of Initiative implementation
an asset.
The post will be
based in one of the Coral Triangle countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, the
Philippines, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands or Fiji).
