Please make a note in your agenda!
On Friday November 22 the Wetland Advisory and Training Centre (WATC) at RIZA, together with Wetlands International, are holding a COP8 side event about their vision on wetland training opportunities.
The well-known Lelystad based international courses, have been developed for regional ownership and delivery in Africa, Eastern Europe, South East Asia.
At the side event:
· the vision will
be introduced
· a former WATC wetland course alumnus will give a presentation - "how
training changed my life"-
· experiences in the East African Course are highlighted
· Wetland International demonstrates how the Ramsar Training Service
will work
· and we will discuss how regionally appropriate course content and approaches
can be internationally networked.
Anyone involved or interested in capacity building and training, whether as a provider, user, potential sponsor or partner, is invited to participate and contribute. All side event participants will receive a diploma on completing the (very) short training course, held as part of this side event.
