Maryse Mahy (Canada/Belgium) is currently working with the Heritage Presentation and Public Education Branch of Parks Canada, in Ottawa, Canada. She will be there until the end of March 2001, following which she will embark on a 4-month legal training (Bar Admission) course. Beginning September 2001, she will be with the Sierra Legal Defence Fund, Toronto, Canada, an NGO that advocates for environmental conservation and the rights of Indigenous Peoples (Maryse says it is a sort of internship that she has to do with the 4-month course in order to become an environmental lawyer!).
