The Virtual Ramsar Site at Homebush Bay
Many people know nothing of the Virtual Ramsar Site at Homebush Bay, in Sydney (Australia) Harbor, and that's because nothing has yet been announced about it.
But, with or without your knowledge, plans are progressing and the whole thing is looking very promising indeed. The Virtual Ramsar Site, now being created in the green wetland area just south of Homebush Bay on the map below, will be associated with the Olympics 2000 venue just a few meters to the left, and will wire Ramsar values into the Olympic Movement by means of instructive entertainment and interactive Ramsar connections worldwide.
But this is only a Sneak Preview -- lots more to follow as the planning progresses.
