Worked for the IUCN Bangladesh office, where she had responsibility for project development for wetlands, implementing a trade and environment project on WTO's SPS implementation for sustainable shrimp industry, and coordinating IUCN membership and commissions in Bangladesh. She has also worked on local community management issues in the Tanguar Haor Ramsar site, and on indicators and early warning systems for the Sunderbans wetlands. She has training and is interested in Environmental Economics. She has a degree in Environmental Science from the North South University, Dhaka and her dissertation was to study the impact change in management regime for wise-use of wetlands in Ramsar Site - Tanguar Haor.
