Nepal; joined the Secretariat in 2006

Graduated with a B.Sc. Hons in Environmental Science and Biology from Kathmandu University and is currently completing a Masters degree in Ecology and Environmental Management at Liverpool Hope University in the UK. In 2003 Pragati was awarded the UNEP-WCMC Chevening Scholarship at Cambridge University, where she undertook research in biodiversity and gained some GIS skills. She also acquired experience of providing maps and other information for Ramsar Information Sheets in her home country while working for IUCN Nepal in 2002-3, updating their biodiversity database.
