South Africa; joined the Secretariat in 2004

Graduated with a First class BSc (Honours) in Plant and Freshwater Ecology from the University of Cape Town. She also holds a BSc degree in Biology, Earth and Environmental Sciences from the same university. She has recently finished working on an 18-month project in Mozambique, promoting integrated water resources management for the Zambezi River, and she also has field experience in the Kosi Bay system in Kwazulu/Natal Province of South Africa and in Makerere University Biological Field Station, Kibale National Forest Park, Uganda.
