ten years of experience assisting in the establishment of the
Natura 2000 Network, the European Commissions LIFE-Nature
fund has gained a wealth of practical experience and knowledge
in implementing Natura 2000. This report, published in 2004, is
focused specifically on their experiences in communicating with
different stakeholders and the general public, recognising the
key role effective communication plays in gaining acceptance and

in the transition societies in Central and Eastern Europe, it

Wetlands ambassador: Education and Public Awareness Methodologies
for Otter Conservation |
Raising
public awareness was identified as a key factor in otter conservation
during a training workshop in Asia on otter monitoring and survey
techniques in 1997. As a response to this, the Otter Research
Group produced this booklet in 2000. With 27 case studies from
11 countries covering Europe, Asia and the Americas, it documents
a wide range of CEPA activities and includes contact details for

awareness for Mediterranean wetlands: A methodological approach
