MedWet prepares for the 6th MedWet/Com meeting


MedWet/Com6 meeting preparation
Algiers, from 16-19 July 2004

Nejib Benessaiah, MedWet Policy Advisor, undertook a visit to Algiers in order to discuss MedWet/Com6 meeting organization and Life 3rd Countries project implementation.

Touristic complex of Corne d'Or close to the ancient Roman site of Tipaza (60kms from Algiers) has been selected for the venue of the MedWet/Com6 meeting from 11 to 15 December 2004.

Hotel Corne d'Or is inspired by traditional Algerian architecture and was designed in the 60s by the famous French architect Francois Pouillon

DGF and MedWet in a meeting with EPAU, Algiers (Polytechnic School of Architecture and Town Planning)

DGF is presently preparing a memorandum of cooperation with EPAU to help implementing ecotouristic and CEPA infrastructures in the pilot site of Reghaia.


The protected wetland of Lake Reghaia (30 kms from Algiers) is a Ramsar Site and the new MedWet/LIFE 3d Countries pilot site.
