The Secretariat of the Convention on Wetlands (Ramsar, Iran, 1971) presents its compliments to the Permanent Mission of ... and has the honour to refer to the following:

The Ramsar Secretariat is pleased to enclose a package of materials relating to the 9th Meeting of the Conference of the Contracting Parties to the Convention, to be held at the Speke Resort, Munyonyo, near Kampala, Uganda from 8-15 November 2005. The package includes:

1. General information
2. Provisional Agenda and Programme
3. List of COP9 documents
4. Preliminary information on visas
5. Free tours information

Concerning the composition of each Contracting Party delegation to Ramsar COP9, the Ramsar Secretariat respectfully urges Parties to finalise delegations and complete registration formalities as soon as practicable. Contracting Parties are requested to designate a Head of Delegation and any additional members of the delegation. Where sponsorship is requested, the Secretariat would be grateful if the name of the delegate to be sponsored be transmitted no later than 1st September.

The Secretariat of the Convention on Wetlands respectfully requests that the content of the present note be communicated to the competent national authorities and avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Permanent Mission of ... the assurance of its highest consideration.
