Stakeholder training - news from the Republic of Korea's NGO CEPA Focal Point (05/06/07)

Good morning everyone:

I have just returned from a trip to the Republic of Korea where I attended a coastal management symposium and also had the pleasure of spending three days at a training course for local stakeholders organised by Korea's NGO CEPA Focal Point, Mr Kim Kyung-won from the Korean Federation for Environment Movement (KFEM). The training course was held at KFEM's Tidal Flat Centre, a visitor and training centre overlooking a huge tidal flat supporting people and wildlife. The training course was the second of three courses being run by KFEM this year to increase the capacity of a range of stakeholders in coastal wetland management. Read more about the course and view some photos here http://www.ramsar.org/outreach_news_korea_kfem.htm.

With best wishes, Sandra Hails, Ramsar Secretariat
