The WWD materials are ready!

Greetings CEPA people :

They’re here! Our WWD materials have arrived at the Secretariat and with the help of some very industrious staff members, their families, and others, we have everything packed and ready to leave by tomorrow’s mail. If you normally receive WWD materials from us then you will do again. If you DON’T normally receive our package then now is the time to ask. Send an email to wwd@ramsar.org with your full mailing address. If you have recently changed your address then please also send an email now.

What have we produced this year? Have a look here www.ramsar.org/WWD/.  As promised we have a poster, sticker, leaflet, comic strips, a dragonfly mask to make, and a CD with all the materials in electronic format. All (except the CD itself of course) can be downloaded – but be warned that some of these are very big files. These are in non-editable PDF format except the comic strips which are in jpg format.

We hope some of you will be able to use our WWD design files to create your own customized materials making them more relevant for your target audiences. Look here www.ramsar.org/WWD-adaptations/ to see examples from last year. If you would like the CD with the design files, write to wwd@ramsar.org to request it (unless you have already been contacted by Valerie Higgins concerning this).

Please don’t forget it’s our 40th anniversary year in 2011, so make use of our 40th logo (animated and non-animated formats available). And please try to work a special 40th event in to your wetland planning next year. More on the 40th here www.ramsar.org/40-Anniversary/.
