Greetings everyone:

Now here's an article passed on to me that reminds us of the diversity of the potential wetland target audiences - and potential wetland actors - we could be working with that can make a difference in wetland wise use. Trout Unlimited is a US-based NGO with more than 150,000 volunteers dedicated to conserving, protecting and restoring North America's cold-water fisheries and their watersheds. They have recently joined forces with a group of restaurants in Seattle to help raise awareness about the alleged dangers of a copper mine development project in the Bristol Bay area on a key menu item in the restaurants - wild salmon. The 13 Seattle restaurants have not only raised awareness of the potential impacts of the project on salmon with their clients, but also increased their own knowledge about where the wild salmon they are serving come from and the need for wise use of salmon habitat.
