We would like to inform you about the MENA scholarship programme – 2012 with regard to the: International training of trainers on wetland management, a course focusing on the facilitation of multi-stakeholder processes and curriculum development, a course endorsed by the Ramsar Secretariat. (More information including the course brochure here: http://www.cdi.wur.nl/UK/newsagenda/agenda/International_training_of_trainers_on_wetland_management.htm)

The Middle East and North Africa Scholarship Programme (MENA Scholarship Programme) is initiated and fully funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The programme enables mid-career professionals from: Algeria, Iraq, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman and Tunisia to do a short course in the Netherlands. The candidates must be nationals of and working in one of the selected countries. While scholarships are awarded to individuals, the need for training must be demonstrated in the context of the organisation for which the applicant works. The training must help the organisation develop its capacity. This means that employers must nominate an applicant and motivate his or her application in a support letter.

More information about the application procedure can be found in the attached brochure.

Please note that besides your MENA application you will also have to apply at our centre for the course: http://www.cdi.wur.nl/UK/newsagenda/agenda/International_training_of_trainers_on_wetland_management.htm

If you are not able to apply yourself, please do hesitate to inform others about this opportunity!

In case you have any questions on the above, please do not hesitate to contact Wageningen UR Centre for Development Innovation
