Greetings Everyone:

The International Water Week Youth Programme has issued a challenge to young people to answer the question “Where does my drinking water come from and where does it go?” So first comes the investigation and then comes the creativity challenge: make a 3-minute movie that tells your story.

This a great opportunity for all of us working in wetlands to make the connection between water and wetlands so please forward this to any colleagues who may be interested. The focus is on students and young professionals under the age of 35 and the best entry will win the IWW Water Movie Award 2011 with  a ‘100% Waterproof Prize’.

Read more here http://internationalwaterweek.com/young/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/TRACING_IWW1.pdf or contact Tracing@waternetwerk.nl. Deadline for submission is end of September.

The International Water Week is a high-level gathering of around 30,000 water professionals from all over the world from October 29-November 4th 2011. More about the meeting itself is available here  www.internationalwaterweek.com.

With best wishes, Sandra Hails, Ramsar Secretariat
