Animations and videos online to help you communicate
Lamentablemente, no hay versión en español de este documento
Dear Everyone:
Before I get to the main purpose of this email, here are two important points for all list members:
First, I realize that we have an electronic 'glitsch' at the moment within the listserve with regard to how it is handling URLs. Again in my last message an extra dot appeared in the middle of the URL so it did not work. I have no solution or explanation for this right now so if I give a URL and it does not work, please first look at the link and if you see an extra dot (two dots together) please remove it and try again. You can also click on the URL and correct it online. We suspect the software on our ancient mailing list server is the root of the problem and we are working on it…..
Second, as a reminder to everyone, if you wish to reply to someone who has posted a message, please just hit ‘Reply’ and send your message. If you really wish to share your reply with the more than 600 members of the list then hit ‘Reply to all’.
Okay, now the real message: two links to some amazing communication materials.
1. Here’s a link to a very short, amusing animation which has been around for a while but is new to me. It has a simple but important message which can you can use to capture the attention of your audience and then build on it to get your wetland message across. http://www.globalcommunity.org/flash/wombat.shtml.
2. Here’s a link to a good source of videos/animations about water http://www.thewaterchannel.tv/ . This is a public facility which hosts videos, produces off-line compilations for education and awareness, and supports the production of new material. You can become a registered member free of charge and then you can upload videos, rate videos of your choice, and receive email updates.
