World Wetlands Day 2013 - an extravaganza of activity

World Wetlands Day has come and gone and from the reports we are receiving it has been another successful celebration. We have begun the process of uploading the many reports that we have received and we are now ready to share our 2013 reports page with you. In addition we have populated an adaptations page to showcase the creative ways in which you have adapted our materials for use at the national and local levels – we have posters, flyers and pamphlets, calendars, billboards and t-shirts, with translations into national languages, use of particular wildlife species more relevant to the local situation and more...

Top left to bottom right: Some examples of WWD 2013 adaptations from Poland, Georgia, Japan and South Africa.

Visit our reports page here and the adaptations page here.

And please remember our deadline for receiving reports – 31st May of this year – after this date we will not be able to upload your reports or adaptations. Please note that if you have just sent your report it will likely not yet be uploaded.

The Secretariat extends its thanks to the Danone Group for its continued support for World Wetlands Day. And of course we thank you, our WWD actors, for your continued support too – without you there would be no World Wetlands Day.

So what’s next? Well of course it’s WWD2014 - watch this space!
