Natural Solutions: Protected areas helping people cope with climate change, a  well-referenced publication, solidly supports the idea that protected areas have a key role to play globally in responding to climate change. Thoroughly researched by a credible list of authors, the text provides plenty of evidence that protected areas (including Ramsar Sites) are helping address the cause of climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and they are also helping societies to cope with the impactsof climate change by maintaining essential ecosystem services the depend upon.
