Ecosystem Grants Programme - IUCN (01/02/07)

Ecosystem Grants Programme

The IUCN NL/ Ecosystem Grants Programme (EGP) is a small grants fund for projects of local organizations in the South that link nature conservation and poverty issues.

This website can be used to submit a pre-proposal. On the left you will find a menu where you can find all necessary information.
You can also download here all the information on IUCN NL/EGP in Word or in PDF

Summary of main points

* Only NGOs can submit proposals

* Proposals have to contribute to the overall goal of EGP: The sustainable use and conservation of ecosystems.

* Deadline for pre-proposals is 1 March 2007 12.00 GMT

* ALL proposals, including pre-proposals, MUST use the EGP format to be considered for funding

* Maximum grant award is Euro 85,000

* Proposals must comply with administrative and general criteria

* Geographic coverage for the 1 March 2007 deadline:

West Africa (Cape Verde, Senegal, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, Benin, Togo, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger).
South East Asia (Indonesia, Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Malaysia).
Parana-Paraguay Basin (as far as located within the Paraguay-Parana River Basin in Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay, Argentina, Uruguay)
