Greetings everyone:
Australia National Wetlands Update, produced annually by the Australian Government, is a glossy, readable booklet that aims to keep the wetland community throughout the country up-to-date with whats going on in Australian wetlands and whos doing it. With over 30 articles from all Australias states and territories, its a comprehensive publication that will surely inspire the wetlands community, showcase their conservation efforts, and keep everyone well informed about whats going on. Full contact details of each author are supplied for easy follow-up.
The diversity of articles is inspiring in itself from fighting toxic soils in Tasmanian wetlands, to pilot projects on wetlands in farms, mapping wetlands in Western Australia, wetland communication in the Hunter region, a wetland training initiative (more on this in another email), wetland education through Conservation Volunteers Australia, using historical aerial photographs to map the invasion of an exotic species and much more. Well worth a look.
