"Biodiversity and Climate change", Kushiro, 29 June-4 July 2008.

The UNDP/UNITAR/KIWC Training Series on Biodiversity was started in 1998 and is aimed at supporting national decision-makers in their efforts to implement an ecosystem approach to biodiversity management. The Series has gained popularity in its integrated approach of focusing on water, and has thus far benefited over 200 experts from Asia and the Pacific.

The UNITAR 2008 workshop, on "Biodiversity and climate change" will to be held from 29 June to 4 July 2008 in Kushiro, Japan, and is co-organized with the Kushiro International Wetland Centre (KIWC) with financial support from the Japan-UNDP Partnership Fund and in partnership with the Secretariats of the Ramsar and Biological Diversity Conventions, and it will focus on biodiversity and climate change in the context of wetlands and water resources management.

The deadline for applications is 5 May 2008.
