Training in IWRM (01/03/05)

Good afternoon to all:

An opportunity for training in “Integrated Water Resource Management” has been announced by the International Water Resource Management Institute (IWMI).

Scheduled with a first session in Sweden, August 29th - September 16th 2005, the 5 week course is organised jointly by the Swedish Development Agency under the Ramboll Natura AB shceme, the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) and the IWMI. A two week follow-up session is planned to take place in November 2005, in South Africa.

This training programme is aiming at decision and policy makers in water resource management and investment, subject-matter specialists involved in planning, implementation and management of IWRM related projects both in public and private sector, members of national and international NGOs in the areas of natural resource management, water and environment and staff at universities and training institutes.

The closing date for application is April 22, 2005. Please note: the application forms should be sent to the nearest Swedish Embassy (a list of these can be found here: http://www.swedenabroad.com/pages/welcome.asp)

A list of countries from which applicants can be selected can be downloaded, along with a complete programme description and an application form from http://www.siwi.org/courses/coursesprojects.html.
