Training course on river basin restoration - identifying specific training needs (21/04/06)

Good afternoon everyone:

Here's a message from Bob Douma of UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education that may be of interest to some of you or your colleagues. A chance perhaps to note the need for CEPA tools (such as working with stakeholders) along with the technical tools! If you need further information please contact Bob directly at B.Douma@unesco-ihe.org.

Best wishes, Sandra Hails, Ramsar Secretariat

Delft, April 21, 2006

Dear Mr, Mrs,

UNESCO-IHE and Wageningen International (as members of the WetCap group) are exploring the potential of a training course on river basin restoration for wetland and river basin management professionals. To make such a course feasible it is important to know what specific training needs should be addressed. To get a better idea about the objectives and content of such a course we have developed a questionnaire. We would like to invite you as wetland professional to complete this short online survey.

The online survey is available by clicking on the following link:
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=524022007640 and will only take about 5 minutes to complete. We would be very grateful if you could take this time to help us. The survey closes at May 16, 2006

Please don't hesitate to send the survey to any other water professionals you know.

If you are interested in the results of this survey, do not hesitate to contact me, or if you face difficulties in completing the online survey, please send an e-mail to B.Douma@unesco-ihe.org and we will send you the survey as a pdf-file.

Thank you very much in advance,

Best regards,

Bob Douma (B.Douma@unesco-ihe.org), Department of Environmental Resources, UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education
