Follow-up on children's participation at COP9 (28/11/05 and 01/12/05)

01/12/05 Follow-up on messages from list members

Good morning everyone:

Thanks to Rose Hogan and Teddy Tindamanyire for their comments on the participation of children at COP9. I think it is a good idea to build on the COP9 experiences to help direct any children's programme for COP10. I have been in touch with Reiko Nakamura (who organised the Kodomo Ramsar programme for children at COP9) and Teddy (who coordinated the Ugandan side of the children's programme) on possible reporting on what went on, and will get back to the list on this as soon as possible.

Best wishes, Sandra Hails, Ramsar Secretariat

28/11/05 Message to the list from Teddy Tindamanyire

Hello Sandra,

Thanks so much for the message. I wish to see the children’s participation in this work that follows COP9 enhanced so that the participation at COP10 in Korea is more advanced.

Teddy Tindamanyire, Principal Environment Inspector, Publicity Secretary at COP9 secretariat.

28/11/05 Message to the list from Rose Hogan

Hello Sandra Tindamanyire and All,
I am also looking forward to the feedback on the children's participation in COP9 to get ideas for use in the future. Rose Hogan
