Raising awareness - commonly used tools and lessons learned

14/04/2011

Hello CEPA people:

Here’s a link to a short report on a project in South Africa. It is isn’t directly about wetlands – it’s about water and sanitation – but it is also about using a range of tools for raising awareness about the water and sanitation problems affecting an urban community. Most importantly the report briefly documents some valuable lessons learned in using the various tools during the project.

In just 6 well-illustrated pages it’s well worth a read because of its relevance to any awareness-raising work -   can be downloaded here http://www.un.org/waterforlifedecade/pdf/award_south_africa_eng_for_web.pdf

Best wishes, Sandra Hails, Ramsar Secretariat
