International Training of Trainers Wetland Management Planning course, Netherlands, 22-23 September
The International Training of Trainers Wetland Management Planning course has just finished in Wageningen, Netherlands for 21 participants from 14 countries. This course, focusing on the facilitation of multistakeholder processes and curriculum development, is endorsed by the Ramsar Secretariat.

Participants worked through the management planning process over a period of three weeks improving their facilitation and communication skills, and mastering various tools for visioning, problem analysis, objective setting, curriculum design as well as spending one week in the field mastering some of the technique used in working effectively with stakeholders.
Sandra Hails, Ramsar’s CEPA Programme Officer, attended the closing days of the course and briefed participants on the Ramsar Convention and how it operates, and explained the tools and support available from the Convention.
