World Wetlands Day 2004 -- Seychelles

Following World Wetlands Day in Seychelles (above), a "pre-accession workshop" was held, 5-7 February 2004, to assist that nation in preparing to join the Ramsar Convention, with the participation of Abou Bamba, Senior Advisor for Africa, and Jean Paul Paddack, head of the WWF Madagascar and West Indian Ocean Programme Office, and financial support from the Ramsar Secretariat through the Swiss Grant for Africa.
