Ramsar football

Ramsar staff do not only save wetlands. They also, like many others, run after footballs.

Here (below) is a group photograph of the football team made up of staff members of the Three Great Environmental Institutions of Gland, Switzerland, namely The Convention on Wetlands (Ramsar, Iran, 1971), IUCN-The World Conservation Union, and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF International).

These fierce-looking players work for small pay but enthusiastically take on all comers from the local villages, and sometimes win. Or draw.
