Subject: UPDATE: 2nd International Conference on Wetlands and Development
Next week, over 400 wetland experts from 90 countries will be converging on Dakar, Senegal for the 2nd International Conference on Wetlands and Development (8 to 14 November).
Over 200 participants from Africa are expected to attend, making this meeting the largest wetland event ever on the African continent.
For the latest conference news go to the AEME Web site at http://www.wetlands.agro.nl where you will find:
- Up to date programs for all 5 workshops
- News on the many satellite meetings taking place, including the times and location of the now legendary Max Finlayson late night calm down sessions with Scott Frazier acting as rapporteur
- Practical information including Marcel Silvius's unique guide to mosquito repellents
And if you are one of the few who cannot make it to Senegal, you can read the biographies and even download the abstracts of the key speakers from the site, which is the next best thing to BEING THERE.
During the conference daily news updates and conference gossip will also be posted on the site.
