Notification 2011/2: Request for Voluntary Funding for Ramsar Regional Meetings 2011/2012

The Secretariat of the Convention on Wetlands (Ramsar, Iran, 1971) presents its compliments to the Permanent Mission of ----- and has the honour to refer to the following:

The Secretariat respectfully requests that the attached letter from the Ramsar Secretary General, Anada Tiéga, be circulated to the appropriate Ministries of Contracting Parties and as widely as possible in order to secure funding for, or sponsorship of, delegates from developing countries to attend regional meetings in preparation for the 11th meeting of the Conference of the Contracting Parties to the Convention on Wetlands.

The Secretariat of the Convention on Wetlands respectfully requests that the content of the present Note be communicated to the competent national authorities and avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Permanent Mission of ----- the assurance of its highest consideration.
