Notification 2010/4: Fifth meeting of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Administrative Reform

The Secretariat of the Convention on Wetlands (Ramsar, Iran, 1971) presents its compliments to the Permanent Mission of … and has the honour to refer to the following:

In Resolution X.5, the 10th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties established an Ad Hoc Working Group on Administrative Reform to recommend to Standing Committee efficient and effective measures to improve the capacity and operation of the Secretariat. The Working Group has met four times, in 2009 and early 2010.

The Ramsar Secretariat is pleased to inform Contracting Parties that the fifth meeting of the Ad Hoc Working Group will take place at Ramsar Secretariat headquarters in Gland on Monday 29 March 2010, from 10:00 to 17:00.

The purpose of the meeting is to prepare a report to submit to the 41st meeting of Standing Committee (Kobuleti, Georgia, 29 April-1 May 2010).

The Report of the fourth meeting of the Group is already posted on the Ramsar Web site, and any supporting documents for the fifth meeting of the Ad Hoc Working group will be posted at: http://www.ramsar.org/cda/en/ramsar-documents-ad-hoc-group/main/ramsar/1-31-433_4000_0__.

Representatives of Contracting Parties who wish to participate are invited to register with the Secretariat by Tuesday 23 March (e-mail: katz@ramsar.org, fax. +41 (0)22 999 0169).
