“Good Morning from Salzburg!

We also would like to report about some site management activities in wetland (no Ramsar site, but “Only” protected landscape): Two weeks ago the area of the “Hollersbacher Feuchtwiesen” has been cleared up in the frame of a collective action of the Salzburg region, WWF, OBf-AG, the mountain and nature rescue service and the Pinzgauer biotope protection group. Since the 12ha site was put under a protection scheme 20 years ago, the cultivation has been partly abandoned, which supported the spreading of the grey alder. Following up on the recent management activities a land-use and management concept shall be developed and implemented together with the land owners. Please find attached some pictures about this successful action, where about 20 people participated in.
