World Wetlands Day at the General Assembly of the Danube Environmental Forum (DEF)

Miskolc, Hungary, 2-4 February 2007: The annual meeting of the Danube Environmental Forum was held in Miskolc, Hungary on 2-4 February 2007. DEF, which comprises 85 non-Governmental organizations devoted to the protection and future of the wetlands of the Danube river basin, has undergone big changes in 2006: its secretariat moved from Bratislava, Slovakia to Baja, Hungary, and, at the same time, a new web design was also applied to better meet the requirements of up-to-date information flow within the network and to the general public (www.def.org.hu).
