World Wetland Day in Teici Nature Reserve (Latvia) - 2007
Teici Nature Reserve (Eastern part of Latvia) is a near-natural complex of wet habitats. The reserve comprises 19657 ha, 14 000 of which are covered by the Teici bog. Since 1995, Teicu bog together with Pelecare bog has been included in the Ramsar Convention.
Traditionally, since 2001, WWD is organized by the administration of Teici NR as a day of annual reports. All the workers of the administration presented his job results in year 2006 for local authorities and representatives from superior institutions and NGO. As it is in midwinter, the meeting is organized in the information center of Teici NR, in small village Laudona, Madona district.
