Uzbekistán se adhiere a la Convención de Ramsar. La Oficina se complace en anunciar que el 8 de octubre de 2001 el Director General de la UNESCO recibió del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de la República de Uzbekistán su instrumento de adhesión a la Convención sobre los Humedales, modificada por el Protocolo de 1982 y las Enmiendas de 1987. Damos la bienvenida a Uzbekistán como 130Ş Parte Contratante de la Convención, que, conforme a lo dispuesto en el párrafo 2 de su Artículo 10, entrará en vigor para Uzbekistán el 8 de febrero de 2002. La nueva Parte ha designado el lago Dengizkul como su primer Humedal de Importancia Internacional; en su momento, daremos más información sobre este nuevo sitio.  

L'Ouzbékistan rejoint la Convention de Ramsar. Le Bureau a le plaisir d'annoncer que le 8 octobre 2001, le Directeur général de l'UNESCO a reçu du ministère des Affaires étrangères de la République d'Ouzbékistan l'instrument d'adhésion de l'Ouzbékistan à la Convention sur les zones humides amendée par le protocole de Paris de 1982 et les amendements de Regina de 1987. Nous souhaitons la bienvenue à l'Ouzbékistan, 130e Partie contractante. Conformément à l'article 10.2, la Convention entrera en vigueur pour ce pays le 8 février 2002. La nouvelle Partie a inscrit le lac Dengizkul comme première zone humide d'importance internationale; d'autres informations seront données sur le nouveau site en temps voulu.

Uzbekistan joins the Ramsar Convention. The Bureau is delighted to announce that on 8 October 2001 the Director-General of UNESCO received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan its instrument of accession to the Convention on Wetlands, as amended by the Protocol of 1982 and the Amendments of 1987. Uzbekistan is welcomed as the Convention’s 130^th Contracting Party, and the Convention in accordance with Article 10.2 will enter into force for Uzbekistan on 8 February 2002. The new Party has named Lake Dengizkul as its first Wetland of International Importance; more information about this new site will be forthcoming in due course. [01/11/01]
