Rwanda se adhiere a la Convención sobre los Humedales
La Secretaría tiene sumo gusto en anunciar que Rwanda ha pasado a ser la 148ª Parte en la Convención de Ramsar y que el tratado modificado por el Protocolo de París de 1982 entrará en vigor para Rwanda el 1º de abril de 2006. El primer Humedal de Importancia Internacional de la nueva Parte ha sido denominado Rugezi-Bulera-Ruhondo, aunque todavía no se ha recibido la correspondiente ficha informativa de Ramsar. La Secretaría da la bienvenida a Rwanda a la familia de Ramsar y se complace en que haya aumentado la cobertura de la Convención en la región.

Le Secrétariat a
le grand plaisir d'annoncer que le Rwanda est devenu la 148e Partie contractante
à la Convention de Ramsar. La Convention, amendée par le Protocole
de Paris de 1982 entrera en vigueur pour le Rwanda le 1er avril 2006. La première
zone humide d'importance internationale de la nouvelle Partie est nommée
« Rugezi-Bulera-Ruhondo », mais
aucune information à son sujet n'a encore été communiquée.
Le Secrétariat souhaite la bienvenue au Rwanda au sein de la famille
Ramsar et se réjouit du nombre croissant de membres de la Convention
dans la région.
Rwanda joins the Convention
The Secretariat is delighted to announce that Rwanda has become the 148th Party to the Ramsar Convention, and the treaty as amended by the Paris Protocol of 1982 will come into force for Rwanda on 1 April 2006. The new Party's first Wetland of International Importance has been named as Rugezi-Bulera-Ruhondo, about which the Ramsar Information Sheet (RIS) has not yet been received. The Secretariat welcomes Rwanda to the Ramsar family and is pleased to note the expanding coverage of the Convention in the region.
