How to make signs for your Ramsar site

The Right Way

The Ministry of Environment and Tourism in Namibia have signposted the Orange River Mouth - very prominently, and using the exact wording urged by the Standing Committee in Decision 19.18 (1996).

The Wrong Way

Ramsar Bureau staff have slapped a Ramsar sticker onto the site sign of a Ramsar site in Switzerland that had made no mention whatsoever of the Ramsar Convention! (But now it does.)
